Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TLG Claims Validation Platform ("Platform") and related services operated by The Liggett Group ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
The TLG Claims Validation Platform is a software tool that validates medical and marketing claims in PDF documents against authoritative evidence sources. The Platform uses AI to assist with claim extraction, evidence selection, and evidence quality scoring. All scores and findings trace back to published, verifiable evidence from recognized databases including DailyMed, Europe PMC, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, FDA FAERS, and Drugs@FDA.
3. Important Disclaimer — Not Medical, Legal, or Regulatory Advice
The Platform is a tool to assist your review process. It does NOT provide medical advice, legal advice, or regulatory guidance.
AI is used within the Platform to assist with evidence retrieval and scoring, but AI is never the source of truth — all output is grounded in published evidence. Despite this evidence-based approach, the Platform's output:
- Is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or regulatory review.
- Should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any medical, legal, regulatory, or business decision.
- Must be independently verified by qualified professionals before being used for compliance, submission, or decision-making purposes.
- May contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies inherent to AI-assisted processing and the limitations of available evidence databases.
The scorecards produced by the Platform are intended as a starting point for human reviewers — not as a final determination. You are solely responsible for how you use the Platform's output.
4. Account Registration and Responsibilities
To use the Platform, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. You may also authenticate via Google SSO, Microsoft SSO, or passkey (WebAuthn). You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete registration information.
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials and authentication methods.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us promptly if you become aware of unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Credit-Based Usage and Payment
Access to the Platform is managed through a credit-based system. Each analysis run consumes one credit. Credits may be provided free of charge, purchased, or allocated by your organization's administrator.
- Free-tier accounts receive a limited allocation of credits subject to usage limits.
- Paid credits are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
- We reserve the right to modify pricing, credit allocations, and tier features with reasonable notice.
- Unused credits do not expire unless your account is terminated.
6. Intellectual Property
Your content. You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the content within them. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process the document solely for the purpose of providing the service. This license terminates when the run data expires.
Our platform. The Platform, including its software, algorithms, prompts, user interface, documentation, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by The Liggett Group. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Platform as described herein.
Scorecard output. The scorecards generated by the Platform are derivative works that combine your document content with evidence from public databases. You may use the scorecard output for your internal business purposes. The underlying scoring methodology and presentation remain our intellectual property.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Upload documents containing protected health information (PHI) or personal data beyond what is present in published marketing materials.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Share, resell, or sublicense your account access.
- Introduce malicious content, files, or prompt injection attacks.
For the full list of prohibited activities, see our Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Availability and Modifications
We strive to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that affect your use of the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the Platform's output is complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
- In no event shall The Liggett Group be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Liggett Group and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the Platform or by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination:
- Your right to access the Platform ceases immediately.
- We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, indemnification, and intellectual property) shall survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [State/Province], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [State/Province].
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Liggett Group regarding your use of the Platform.
